How DeGrio Global Learning Academy meets every student where they are — from Early Learning through Grade 12.
At DeGrio Global Learning Academy, no two learners take exactly the same path — and that’s by design. Every student remains part of their grade-level class and community while receiving the pace, support, and challenge that fit them best. As a student grows, their pathway grows with them.
WHERE WE START
Every student begins the year with a beginning-of-year (BOY) readiness assessment. This gives teachers a clear, current picture of each learner’s strengths and next steps — a starting point for planning meaningful instruction, not a label.
HOW WE SUPPORT GROWTH
From there, a student’s day-to-day learning may include additional support, focused remediation, accelerated coursework, enrichment, or a blend of these — whatever combination best matches their current needs. Pathways are reviewed and adjusted regularly; they are tools for growth, not fixed categories a student is placed into permanently.
Whatever combination of support a student receives, one thing stays constant: they remain with their grade-level class and community throughout the year.
Integrated by Design: The DeGrio Integrated Learning Framework
Learning Pathways work because they don’t stand alone. Every pathway is guided by DGLA’s DeGrio Integrated Learning Framework (DILF) — a three-dimensional approach that weaves together academic mastery, hands-on and collaborative learning, and whole-child wellness. Rather than treating academics, character, and creativity as separate subjects, DILF brings them together so that support in one area strengthens growth in the others.
