Academics at DeGrio Global Learning Academy
Standards-aligned learning built on the DeGrio Integrated Learning Framework (DILF)
Academics at DeGrio Global Learning Academy are structured around the DeGrio Integrated Learning Framework (DILF), an instructional model in which academic learning, self-regulation, and creative development are treated as interconnected components of student growth rather than separate tracks. Each student is placed within a program aligned to their developmental stage, in addition to their academic grade level.

Curriculum
Core instruction spans English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, integrated with STEAM and project-based learning. Instructional design is guided by Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) framework, with deliberate emphasis on higher-order thinking (DOK Levels 3–4) over rote recall.
Creative Lab Media Studio
The Creative Lab Media Studio is a core instructional pillar embedded across every grade band, not an elective. Students engage in podcasting, music and media production, video and animation, and public speaking, developing communication competencies for a media-integrated world.
Technology Integration
Technology use is age-appropriate and sequenced deliberately: minimal screen exposure in Early Learning, guided digital tools in the elementary grades, and applied coding, artificial intelligence literacy, and digital ethics by high school. Technology is used to support purposeful learning; it does not replace direct instruction or hands-on experience.
Support, Regulation & Growth (SRG-C™)
SRG-C™ is integrated into daily instructional practice across all programs to support students’ emotional regulation, confidence, and decision-making. This is an educational framework, not a clinical one: DGLA staff do not diagnose or treat; students requiring clinical support are referred to licensed professionals. Learn more on our SRG-C™ page or our FAQ page. For information on the application process, please visit our Admissions & Enrollment page.
